コンセプト

BSWK は、作者がニューヨーク・ブルックリンの Bushwick に住んでいた頃に立ち上げたアパレルブランドである。
Bushwickはストリートアートや壁画文化で知られ、多くのアーティストがスタジオや制作拠点を構える地域でもある。

本シリーズは、本個展に合わせて久々に制作された新作である。

バックプリントの写真はすべて作者自身が撮影したもので、Bushwickの風景や日常の断片が収められている。
一部の写真では、今回の展示作品のイメージをマスキングとして使用するなど、展示と呼応する特別な仕様になっている。

ヴィンテージ加工のボディは、Brooklynのストリートカルチャーと、今回の展示会場である下北沢の空気感にも通じる風合いを持っている。

Concept

BSWK is an apparel brand originally started by the artist while living in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York.
Bushwick is widely known for its street art and mural culture and has become a neighborhood where many artists maintain studios and creative spaces.

This series marks a new release created for this exhibition.

All photographs used for the back prints were taken by the artist himself, capturing fragments of everyday scenes from Bushwick.
Some images incorporate masking elements derived from works in this exhibition, creating a direct connection between the garments and the artworks.

The vintage-washed body reflects the atmosphere of Brooklyn street culture while also resonating with the character of Shimokitazawa, where this exhibition is held.
